Have You Ever Seen A Fat Cheetah?

I was reading another weight loss blog today and saw that the author had exercised for 2 hours yesterday. My first thought was…who has 2 hours to exercise each day? Elite athletes and those who don’t need to make a living, but the rest of us should not plan on spending that much time exercising. A more realistic goal is 5-20 minutes 4 to 5 times per week.

The next time you head to the gym or train at home, imagine yourself as a cheetah. Have you ever seen cheetahs “jogging” for distance? No. They sprint, attack their food (meat), and then sleep. Sounds like a great plan to me.

Cheetah Cardio Plan

Warm up 3- 5 minutes

Sprint, Run, or Jog as fast as you can for 20 seconds

Rest as necessary

Repeat Sprint, Run, or Jog

Rest

Repeat

Do 4 of these “sprints’ to begin…then increase to maybe 8

Cool down 3- 5 minutes
